In just over a week, I’ll be running the RAM Racing BTN Big 10K in Chicago.  I thought I’d share a few reasons why you should join me!

Race: Big Ten Network Big 10K or a 5K walk/run
Date: August 6, 2016
Location: Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois
Registration: http://btnbig10k.com/registration/
Packet Pickup: Fleet Feet Sports – Old Town
Tuesday, August 2 10am-8pm
Wednesday, August 3 10am-8pm
Thursday, August 4 10am-8pm
Friday, August 5 10am-8pm

The Big 10K is a huge party with a 10K race or a 5k run/walk in beautiful Grant Park along Lake Michigan and the scenic Chicago skyline backdrop. The BTN Big 10K is proud to have Special Olympics Chicago as it’s official charity. Special Olympics transforms lives through the joy of sport, every day, everywhere. They are the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities: with more than 4.5 million athletes in 170 countries — and millions more volunteers and supporters. They are also a global social movement.  Race participants have the opportunity to fundraise for the charity of their choice. As a special thank-you, Special Olympics Chicago will award two round-trip United Airlines tickets to the BTN Big 10K fundraiser who raises the most money! The tickets are valid for travel to the contiguous United States, Alaska, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, with travel dates through December 31, 2016.

Check out the t-shirts for this years event!

And of course, the sweet finisher’s medal!

You can’t forget the post-race fanfest and tailgate party that includes mascots, cheerleaders, food, music, beer, interactive games, exciting prizes, BTN talent, and former Big Ten player appearances!

Don’t forget to use the code “BibRaveBTN” to get extra swag when you register and say hello to the BibRave Pro’s in their orange!

  1. Ahh I can’t wait to run my first BibRave Pro race! I want to do one with some other Bibravers but there’s not many near me yet… Maybe I’ll do this one one day!
