Oofos Footwear Review

Do you take care of your feet?  Are you a runner or biker or even just hard on your feet in your career?  You need to take a look at the Oofos Recovery Footwear!  When given the opportunity to try out a pair thanks to BibRave, I did not hesitate.  I think I’ve neglected my feet for far too long.

So, what makes these Oofos special?  Hmm, let’s see the benefits:

  • ABSORBS MORE SHOCK THAN TRADITIONAL FOAMS – Athletic shoe foams are designed to “rebound” and propel you forward. Revolutionary OOfoam does the opposite, absorbing 37% more shock with every step than traditional footwear foam.
  • REDUCES STRESS ON SORE FEET, KNEES AND BACK – Your feet and joints take a pounding on hard surfaces. Slipping on OOFOS after a workout provides them with relief and a chance to recover.
  • CRADLES YOUR ARCHES – Unlike flip-flops, the OOFOS patented footbed is designed with tremendous arch support to take the pressure off of ankles, knees and hips, as well as your lower back.
  • ENABLES MORE NATURAL MOTION – Biomechanically designed, OOFOS flex with both your foot and the ground. The soft, flexible OOfoam material enables your foot to articulate the way nature intended.
  • Durable OOfoam holds its cushion its entire life
  • Soft, conforming toe post eliminates chafing
  • Moisture resistant closed cell foam is shower-ready and machine washable
  • So light they float

The pair I was given to try were the Project Pink Sandals in size 11.  Please check out the link to learn about how great this program is!  For every pair of Project Pink Oofos sandals sold, Oofos will donate 100% of the proceeds to Dana-Farber breast cancer research. As one of the world’s leading cancer care centers, the Dana-Farber team works tirelessly to find a cure to help the millions around the world that are affected.  See the Oofos mission here.

While I’ve only had them a very short time, I have used them almost every single day with great results.  Once your feet slide into the sandals, you instantly feel a very forgiving foam that conforms to your feet and absorbs the hard ground impacts.  I love the way they feel when walking around after wearing my firefighting boots all day or even after long pavement pounding.  The arch support is evident and my low back is grateful.

Oofos has a great assortment of recovery shoes on their website for both men and women with a few variations (clogs and sandals).

  1. Great review Frank! Glad you like them! I agree, love the cushy forgiveness (yet supportive feel) that they give. Will definitely be using them a lot!
